for everyone commenting about the fat- i was eating 3-5x the daily recommended amount of fat every day. i was loading up on avocados, nuts, bacon, chicken thighs, and TONS of sunflower seed butter, everything cooked in butter, everything topped with olive oil. TRUST me. i was eating MORE FAT THAN I EVER WANNA EAT AGAIN IN MY LIFE, that was not the issue.

the first week of keto sucks, but it takes about 4 weeks for you body to get used to a high fat low carb diet & for your digestion to change, it takes more than a week to even get into ketosis. So you absolutely cannot judge this diet after doing it poorly for a week.

Here's the thing, I get that this diet works great for fat loss, cool then that should be its purpose....JUST a diet, as in temporary. Once the weight it lost I would imagine you would transition off keto and into a ''healthier'' food source...i.e not eating animal based products for the rest of your life because sure you may be skinny but you're still going to likely develop heart disease. I have not tried this diet, nor do I eat perfectly healthy, but all my loved ones that have passed away did so because of heart disease so I would hate to see people tricked into something that gives results, stick to it, and have long term damage.

I'm not one to comment on videos usually, but I am currently doing the keto diet and I feel so healthy and so energized. I am a larger girl and this is the first "diet" that has worked for me. I am not starving, I don't feel deprived of anything and I feel so strong! I wish you took a better run at this and looked into recipes and what things you could actually get away with eating. I don't agree with people doing this for life because it is such a high fat diet, but I cut down the salt and butter intake. You can eat more then just chicken, and you don't have to buy the chicken with the highest fat percentage. I love steak and meatballs and fish. And cheese!!!!! There are so many options. I think if you incorporated more of those things and followed recipes you wouldn't of had all those stomach pains.

You where doing the paleo diet not keto they are very similiar but not the same the strict no carb is paleo things like atkins and low carb are keto. I'm on the paleo diet as well, and have been for the past 11 months and have had great results from it, and my body reacted well to it. Paleo is great for people who have an insulin resistance or deficiency such as myself. You where mainly going Through sugar with draws because sugar is very addicting you withdraw from it just like cocaine or meth. From my experience in sugar with draw yours where extremely bad I am a diet specialist and specialize in this patecular diet. Trust me I had with draws as well, but not as severe as yours, and I also ate high sugars. Since I am a person that specializes in this diet and I'm on it at the moment I know quite a bit more about it than you. In everyone's body carbs break down into sugars, so that's why you don't want lots of carbs in your diet but complex carbs are good. And I recommend you get your blood tested to see what diet you need to do like high proitien and greens or high greens and carbs and so on. No hate love your transformation and your confidence in your body now. Just learn more about a diet before you go hatting on it and say you shouldn't do it when some people would EXTRMELY benefit from it.

This was one of the most annoying videos I have ever watched. I follow a more paleo diet, I don't like/enjoy keto and I don't think it's sustainable/very healthy. BUT you only followed this diet for 4 days. AND you were so incredibly condescending. Diet is extremely personal and I 100% agree that you shouldn't do anything that makes you feel sick or weak... but that's how it was for me for a week when I first started paleo and now I feel like shit if I don't follow a mostly paleo diet. Whenever you make drastic changes to your diet, your body reacts, in a myriad of ways. Maybe keto isn't for you, but I don't agree that 4 days is enough to be able to give a full testimonial on the diet at all. You are fit, but you're not a fitness guru.

You’re not supposed to be that hungry when you’re in ketosis. If she was eating enough fatty foods, she wouldn’t have felt so hungry. Fats suppress your hunger. And also, you can eat blueberries, veggies, make fat bombs, make bulletproof coffee 😑 I never gave up coffee while in Keto. I still haven’t. I LOVE my bulletproof coffee, my veggies, my fat bombs, the heart helps I add in my salads, nutritional yeast. You were feeling all those symptoms cause you were lacking electrolytes. Those supplements are sufficient enough. I didn’t even see broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, radish, spinach, or collard greens in the salad. No wonder she was hungry. I would be too. This is Keto done WRONG. She wasn’t eating enough. If you’re hungry, EAT! 😂

I don't know how there is actually people that stand out for that diet. No diet should make you stop eating any of the nutrients that your body needs UNLESS you had a real condition were you needed to eat less of one of them. You didn’t eat enough fat or food. You got a headache because you were dehydrated which happens when you start keto. You needed to take supplements or take in more electrolytes. You lost weight in the beginning because you lost water weight from not eating carbs (which you store water when you eat carbs). I would highly recommend watching any of Dr Berg’s YouTube videos or doing research if you’re skeptical of Keto. I truly thought people were crazy for doing Keto but 5 months in I have more energy and mental clarity than I’ve ever had in my life. It takes a good month to truly be fat adapted. I'm cringing at the amount of misinformation in this video. But anyway, I hate when people do these types of videos because even IF she tried keto properly (and for more than just a few days) and she still didn't like it/feel good, it doesn't mean this is a bad diet for everyone!!! When will people stop assuming that the "one size fits all" concept doesn't apply to nutrition? We are all so different and can benefit from different ways of eating, exercising, etc. I personally love keto and I have tremendously improved my overall health with this diet. I think the reason this has gotten so many people commenting is more likely the end of your video when you completely trashed the Keto lifestyle. Everyone that actually does Keto knows that you were not doing it right. Also, this is a type of plan that can't be measured in a week. I started doing Keto in January of this year after researching it first, and thankfully I didn't experience the Keto flu. I feel great, I'm not hungry (even with intermittent fasting) and I lost 64pounds. This way of eating has helped diabetics, people with epilepsy, PCOS, and autism. Now, yes not all things work for all people but telling a million plus this is a shit diet when you didn't even do it right to begin with is really sad, irritating, and irresponsible. Oh by the way, you could have almond milk, a sugar substitute, and even a splash of sugar free caramel syrup to make your coffee taste better.

I really feel like you were not doing something right or maybe it's just not for you. Doing keto I actually have more energy at the gym. And I have always had issues sleeping. I mean going to bed at 4am and having to get up at 7am for work. On keto I am actually able to go to sleep at 12 or so. So while not for you doesn't mean it's not for others. You need to do it for longer than a week. You need to do more research on this because you’re giving people false information. Keto is used for people who are epileptic among other things and it really helps people. Keto is about going back to basics with food. You shouldn’t be hungry in Keto and you were probably experiencing what’s known as the “Keto Flu”, which is your body going through withdrawals from all the carbs and sugar. Once you get past that it is much better. When I did it I made sweet snacks with stevia to help the sweet cravings. Also you are allowed to have blueberries on Keto! 😍

I’ve been on keto for about 2 months now. Yes I don’t follow it exactly but I have already lost 20 lbs. I have not experienced one symptom that gabble mentioned in her video. I think she should have done more research before starting this. And tracking your macros for at least the first month really helps!

Like others said, you did it totally wrong. If you had added in more fat and not eat lean meat you would have felt fuller. I suggest you look at a fellow you-tuber "Go Keto with Casey". She breaks it down very simple. Other good keto channels are Keto Connect and Thomas Lauer. You have an addiction to sugar and Carbs (which break down to sugar). Believe me, I have that addiction. I got off of keto and have gained my weight back. I feel sluggish and not nearly alert anymore. I'm sooo looking forward to getting back in ketosis. I miss not having cravings. Carbs and sugar only last in your body for a couple of hours before your body starts telling you to eat more carbs and sugar. When I was in ketosis, sometimes I had to make myself eat LOL.

Okay, but can I just say, Keto is NOT zero carbs or zero fruit. Its low carbs and you can decide how low depending on YOU. Gabbie you make entertaining videos. But don't always have scientific facts to back them up. I started the keto diet so long ago I can't remember. I had the same symptoms you had. But when you change your way of eating you will feel different. The keto diet lowered my cholesterol and my blood pressure. i have more energy. All that before I started working out. I have lab results to prove it. You didn't even do the keto diet right. NOT enough fat. You just went low carb. I Hope people understand that your channel is your opinion because my wife has lost weight and lowered her cholesterol too. She should be off her blood pressure medicine on her next visit. Anyway, trying a diet should be at least for 90 days not one week.

Watched your video & you didn’t do it long enough plus you didn’t research keto before starting it. No need to get keto flu. I’m a 60 yr old male 6’ 2” 214 lbs & I was having knee pain. Dr said beginning stages of arthritis. I started keto diet 3 months ago. Still on keto & Love it. No more knee pain & never had keto flu because I take electrolytes. I’m rarely hungry & I do intermittent fasting daily. I use to graze all day before keto now I eat only 2 meals a day sometimes one. Now I’m 203 lbs but I’m not even trying to lose weight on keto. I love keto Pizza and lots of other recipes. There’s lots of sweet stuff to make also using Stevia etc.

this is the shit that happens to me when I eat a "good for you" carby diet, I think it depends on what your family throughout history has eaten that determines what you should be eating, rice makes me retain water so bad, with IBS and all that shit that makes you wanna die.....so do beans and broccoli. Keto if done properly reverses type 2 diabetes. Take the video down OR watch Dr. Berg and or Dr. JAson Fung. Watch a few videos then you will start to understand why your video might hurt ppl.

I will say this: in a 2 week period of doing keto I was feeling great, my skin looked great, I was doing good. Starting keto is hard without the sugar but now being like a year of keto I enjoy sugar free ice cream (Halo Top), sugar free desserts. If I now eat sugar I break out and I feel awful, bu I’ve tried other diets an I didn’t work at all. Find a diet that works for you and stick with it.

What kind of an idiot completely changes the functioning of their body without doing any research on how to do it safely? Maybe you thought “keto” is just another diet, it isn’t. It completely changes the source of energy your brain needs to survive, which are ketones and not glucose. Keto isn’t for everyone. But if it’s not for you doesn’t mean it’s not for someone else. And keto isn’t a weight loss diet. I have so much more energy, focus, and I sleep great. I’m so happy I have this diet. This is like saying if a certain foundation made you breakout that it’s terrible. Or if a certain food makes you sick (lactose, gluten) then it’s a terrible food. If something doesn’t work for you then it doesn’t work for YOU. And if you’re going to try something, do it the right way. Get advice. Do the research.

Honestly everyone in the comments are be a little over dramatic. She’s never done Keto before this and that’s okay. Therefore she probably doesn’t know everything about keto either, and again THATS OKAY. Next time she wants to do another diet video, she’ll learn from the mistakes she made with the keto diet.
